3D Modeling:The Wagon

This is the final project I did in 3D class last term. It was a fairly simple idea; All we had to do was create a wagon in 3D max. But I guess my teacher was pretty happy with mine, as I had made all the pieces of the wagon in individual parts before I constructed it. It seemed like the easiest thing to do. I even did the nails that I would be placing on the wagon where they should be. People in my class were a bit surprised at how I was approaching it, but it turned out to be pretty effective, I was the first one done too.

I thought I should show my 3D skills so far, as I should show them as one of my skills, since it's a point towards my future employment. Enjoy ^-^

More Backgrounds

Hello, New Backgrounds from my Background painting class, which unfortunately has ended, now into the third term, but it was a blast. My Favorite that I made? The Jungle Layout.

This Jungle layout was the last we did, as well as different from the others. For this background, we had to separate the foreground from the mid ground and the background, so we painted the foreground separate, then cut it out with an exacto knife, sandwiched the foreground between two pieces of acetate cell sheets, and slapped it on the mid ground/background portion. I really liked it, though I lost all feeling in the first digit of my right index finger for a few days from pressing on the exacto knife for a few hours straight. Enjoy.

Also, My Very First background Painting we did for that class, which was a background we had to recreate from the industry, Mine is a Disney background from Tinkerbell, done in Analogous Color Scheme.

Thought I should update my blog with some life drawings of late, been feeling good about most of my drawings, I think I'm finally out of my drawing block I was having for a few weeks.

Here is a Character for My animatics class we had to do. This is the third version of her, I tried two other revisions of her that I hated, she turned out okay in this one. She is a more humanized version of an older character I have had and used in my stories for the past several years; Dranix.

Hello Hello! ^-^ Once the elementals are all completed, I've come up with a new project for me, a series of moth and butterfly themed fairies and such. I'll only do moths and butterflies I find most beautiful or interesting, so amung them will be the Death Head moth, the Luna moth, Blue Morpho butterfly and Oleander Hawk moth. Other possibilities will be the Emperor butterfly, the Peacock butterfly, the 'Indian' Moon moth, and Crecropia moth.

This was inspired after I watched silence of the lambs last night and felt the urge to make characters based on different moths and butterflies. Hope people will like them, they'll also go on my DA account.

I've started a series of element drawings, for which I'm either using a pre-existing term or making one up if I can't find one.(eg. terrakinetic, hydrokinetic are some of the terms)So I'll post the finished/WIP's/line arts and sketches here and update them as I go until they're all complete. at this point in time I'm nearly completed the third one which is a Terrakinetic, or earth manipulator. I plan to name all of the characters too, but at the moment they are nameless.
